even feigning the most ridiculous far fetched excuse not to go is better than going, how about the dog ate the car park tickets? a DC offers nothing but stress , anxiety, heat, being totally uncomfortable and not forgetting being an absolute waste of anyone's time.

I do not even know when "our" DC is... My wife is still going to the hall but I never hear about the DC... Hope it stays that way

Have you ever been accused of apostasy? Does your wife know how you feel? Does she know that there are real problems in the Org? If she will listen to you at all without freaking out, just say that you listened to a recording of the " Apostasy " talk. Tell her that the ORG is doing exactly what the accuse others of doing. Have all the articles on propaganda printed off and hi-lighted. Just look up " Open Mind", " Propaganda " in the WT CD-Library.

If your wife is snoopy, like mine, just leave those "studied" articles by your bedside. She won't be able to resist reading them. Then make sure that you are studying them before bed until she asks why. Then tell her about the DC "apostasy" talk. If you have ever been accused of it, them it will carry more weight. Tell her that the WTBTS is practicing propoganda techniques. She may ask for an example, so be ready. An easy one is hate-speech. That is not Christlike at all. Then you could mention that the person in the NT was an apostate because their teachings contradicted Christ's teachings.

If you MUST go (for family, kids, friends -- so they don't ask too many questions), then go late and get to feeling bad and leave early. Still be sick for the following day. Then go late again Sunday. Tell the wife, kids, parents, friends that you intend to catch what you missed at another "nearby" convention. They'll never realize you fail to do so.

When anyone asks about it, just say: "Wasn't it just great! Just what we needed with what we're all dealing with in this lousy System!"

I'm seriously leaning on not going. My wife knows a little about some issues i have but she has that head in the sand mentality and doesn't want to ask or know any more than she already does. She's totally brainwashed so my kids are the ones i'm focused on. I think and I may be wrong but if i stay home mentioning that the ORG is not being Christ like that will plant some holes in their foundation. Then as i continue to fade the more i don't go the more the ORg becomes relevant to the kids with me planting some TTATT a little at a time until they the kids start to outright ask. I think this may be the right approach, but not sure??????
