If I were god I would give everyone the ability to fly like Superman.
Rivers of Strong British Ale would flow throughout the land.
I can envision it so clearly- it MUST be true.
I don't believe that God will destroy anyone for eternity.
So your beliefs contradict what the Bible says- the same Bible your god supposedly inspired as factual. Interesting.
How do you resolve this conflict between your beliefs and what god says is true, being that they are diametrically opposed?
Hi Paul,
I too still belive in the kingdom on earth. I do not believe anyone (not even the 144,000) are going to heaven.
Check out this podcast especially episodes 1-3, I think you will like it.

Yes, I don't believe everything in the bible. I think a big reason we're here is to learn how to think not just to learn how to obey. If God only wanted obedient creatures he could have designed us like that... like the animals. I trust my own mind, reasoning ability, and conscience above any book or person. My own mind and reasoning ability is the ultimate authority for what I believe to be true.
people believe in crazy things... why do humans have such a hard time accepting our mortality. WE DIE... plain and simple. If u want to live forever you need to do something crazy like alexander the great... mozart... einstein... ghandi... those people will live forever in history books.
Some people beleive what they want to beleive despite what the facts tell them.

Confirmation bias holds sway.
How do you determine which bits of the bible to cut?
My own mind and reasoning ability is the ultimate authority for what I believe to be true.
Why?
What evidence do you have to trust this method?
What if we all believed in something different because we use our ''own mind and reasoning ability'', which of us is correct?

And if I were God, that's what I would do,
It seems your beliefs are based on what you want to believe rather than on any need for supporting evidence. This is entirely your prerogative, and you are not alone in that billions of people share this approach.
Perhaps a more productive question would be - what motivated you to start this thread?
Cedars
Paul, I guess I am definitely an "in-betweener" to your thread as I can not agree nor refute your thought. I can only opine that it would be nice to live in a place free of pain and struggle. Will it come? For me that hope has vanished and I think for many of us it was yet another promise that was overly hyped in our Witness mind.
