On being constantly scrutinized by the invisble world of gods and demons

The origins of the Bible stem from a need to control others. The manifestations of this are clearly seen through many examples throughout history and even down to this day. The GB of JWs are certainly a clear example of this as we well know.

It's actually quite clever in a devious sort of way: Since I (the one with the need/desire to control) can't be watching you 24/7, I need to convince you that someone is. The God/Angels/Demons tri-plex of supernatural omnipresent Watchers is the solution. As a form of psychological control, it's obviously extremely effective in keeping people in line.

It's an interesting question worthy of further consideration ...

I always feel like somebody's watchin' me...

    And I got no privacy...

    Terry:

I'm not sure anybody has yet addressed the aspect of being WATCHED surreptitiously!

That was extremely creepy, especially as a young naïve bride, when the old married / widowed biddies at the Kingdom Hall™ made a point of reminding me that Jehovah, Jesus and all the angels and the resurrected Anointed Ones™ would know if we strayed beyond what The Society™ had deemed appropriate for married couples.

Imagine what that does to your sex life, to believe that your most intimate activities are scrutinized by a host of invisible Peeping Toms!!

That explains a lot about my born-in ex-wife. She could never completely surrender to her inner sex goddess.

Personally, I never minded performing for the angels/demons or whoever else was kinky enough to watch!

Now I know that there was never anyone watching. It's all just a ruse to control others promoted by a bunch of insecure old men that never get any.

My wife has told me I could make a go of it in the adult film industry.

    Disappointed?

I think that is a brilliant analysis! Well said!

As its known mythological superstition can have various effects on people's sociological behavior.

Some which can stimulate goods things to one another and some which provoke egregiously harmful things.

Fear is the controlling factor and spiritual protagonists are well aware of that fact.

Take the WTS. organization for example.

How for do you think this organization would have expanded and grown as it did without its elements of fear ?
