I really enjoy being a member of my Unitarian Universalist church. It's a wonderful place, with amazing people.

Tammy, please understand I'm not picking a fight with
you, LOL. But I'm curious, isn't religion (dominate religions) and
Christ the same? If religion is from man, how are we supposedly
to know him and have faith in him. What about the scripture
"do not forsake the gathering togather in his name"?

I've thought about visiting the local Unitarian church to check it out.

UUnitarian Universalist does seem interesting. But right now, religion scares me. I want to appreciate my spiritual instincts/ drive/need more than anything right now

Being in the EX-JW community is religion enough for me!
There is no doubt in my mind that the Ex-JW community is the primary target audience for the bible.
This is where I expect the "son's of Zion" are being born with all those prophecied "birth pangs".
There are thousands of threads in this forum (and others) which describe the pain.
Does the door that each EX-JW goes through get any narrower?
Maybe it does?

Religion is an organized collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to the supernatural, and to spirituality. [ note 1 ] Many religions have narratives, symbols, and sacred histories that are intended to create meaning to life or traditionally to explain the origin of life or the Universe. From their beliefs about the cosmos and human nature, they tend to derive morality, ethics, religious laws or a preferred lifestyle. According to some estimates, there are roughly 4,200 religions in the world.
The above is wikpedias deffintion.
A part of me is interested in religion if only its my own organized collections of beliefs and how I relate to my world and whether there is a supernatural.
