I always wanted to visit the west part of this great continent. If you are familiar with this city, what part should I avoid, and waht are good places to eat and visit?

    Hike up Grouse Mountain

Walk along the sea wall at Stanley Park

There's a new "Soaring ovenr California" type attraction at Canada Place called something like"Flying over Canada"

    Hang out at Jericho Beach

It's about a 2 hour drive to Whistler up the scenic Sea to Sky highway

Rent bicycles and pedal the sea wall around False Creek

Hope you have a wonderful and safe time here.

There are two (2) places on the North American Continent named Vancouver.

    1. Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

    2. Vancouver, Washington, is just across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon.

Also, there is Vancouver Island. It is a 300 mile long Island, reached by a 1 1/2 hour Ferry ride.

Where were you planning to visit?

    Just Lois

I loved the Aquarium! They have beluga whales, and a tropic rainforest with red ibises and humungous green lizards.

There's also a tiny Kingdom Hall on Downtown Vancouver's main street. Moon it!

    Thanks for your recommendations, friends.

Lois, I'm going to Vancouver, BC Canada.

NCC, is that Sky highway some type of transit system?

Julia, could you please PM me that address of the small KH. I'm not into mooning these days. I failed my plumbers test.

Vancouver is a beautiful city. I echo the recommendation to take the walk through Stanley Park (top five Vancouver gardens). The open air restaurants are delightful to this prairie girl. Sitting in the mild air and people watching is one of my favorite things to do. Reminds me of New York.

    Chinatown

    MacLeod's Book Store

    AVOID East Vancouver.
