@designs & prime - I'm presuming it is real as I used to have conversations like this all the time with a certain JW friend.

I was told that even if we totally disagree with an instruction from either the GB, an elder or your husband but obeyed it any way even if they were proven to be wrong and the result was disasterous jehovah would bless you for your obedience later.

Now you have no excuse not to obey!

This brother has probably heard of others who have researched the Watchtower Society's past and have left and he is in full zombie mode.

    This guy's not an extremist.

An extremist would freak the f**k out at your questions.

    He's just an idiot.

    Kool Jo:

I wouldn't have been able to keep my cool if I were talking to a JW with this mentality. Even when I was active in the religion I was never this gullible. I don't know if I ever truly believed God used anybody to accomplish his "will".

You just cannot have a conversation with these people!

Hi Kool Jo, How would your friend respond if you wrote that you were doing education or investing research because of changes in WTBTS doctrines? Since the WTBTS changed its doctrines to the Generation that will not pass to overlapping Generations, you want to have a great retirement if the Big A doesn't come during your lifetime. And, then asked your friend "What is he doing to protect his family's financial future?"

If your friend spent more time getting a better education or got involved in learning how to invest, he would have less time reading WTBTS literature and maybe going to meetings, and would also be using his mind to critically think more for himself.

Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,

    Robert

the WTBTS saves its members the hard work of thinking for themselves. all they have to do is blindly obey everything their elders/ co's / GB tells them----and distribute magazines--and donate money---and their future is guaranteed. they will survive armageddon--any day now--then live forever in a paradise earth---where they will see the resurrection of all those who died before---their family--children--friends--adolf hitler--
