have a local needs on apostasy, have everyone shun you, have no shepherding calls since you left for over a year, and now a jc tomorrow evening????????

Spoke to branch committee as well as co and they said to go and if we were treated unfairly then to call the co. Don't get it. The co would have known about the local needs talk on apostasy and says if we were treated unfairly to call him. He was not aware that we had not recieved and shepherding calls even though the elders told him we did.

The elders want to know what or who hindered us that we were doing so well. Really? That's why the bozo's wanted to work with us and wanted to get to know us? NOT!

Have any of you had your elders put the cart before the horse? Any suggestions for tomorrow evening?

It depends on if you are just trying to fade quietly, or you just don't care anymore. Record it somehow for Raypublisher/JJ at JWStruggle.

Walk in there with a s#!tload of watchtower literature, books, bibles and if they're on a 'witch hunt' then give it to them with both barrels. Do you have a 1969 Kingdom Interlinear? Romans 10:13 is a good one. It shut our elders up. Take control of the meeting, don't let them have the upper hand. We never brought up anything 'apostate'. We only used WT literature and the Kingdom Interlinear.

Our lawyer said that we are entitled to legal representation if this is a judicial committee and if not, they are violating our civil rights.

    Hope this helps.

Newly E says, "Our lawyer said that we are entitled to legal representation if this is a judicial committee and if not, they are violating our civil rights."

AMEN, always have someone go with you when you see a doctor because you might miss something said or forget to say, and always have someone else present when talking to any elder especially a "judicial committee". I have seen some elders start badgering the interigated person. How embarassing.

The back stabbing of elder-to-elder got so bad I would never talk with a elder alone, that way if something is commented on at least you have someone else's memory to help out.

I would love to show up with a lawyer to a Judicial Committee™, just to watch those b@$t@rd$ from my former Congregation™ crap their drawers.

You have rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, including the right to representation when you are accused, the right to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, as well as the right to face your accusers, protection from self-incrimination, plus the right to not be subjected to cruel and unusual punishment. The WTS presumes to deny people of these fundamental rights, under the "ecclesiastical" escape hatch. The fact is, you are being accused of something that will dramatically change the way people interact with you, including your family and friends. That falls under defamation of character and slander.

They aren't going to tell a lawyer to not take notes, and they aren't going to tell a lawyer that you aren't entitled to representation. The second they try, the lawyer is going to tell you to say nothing to these hicks and then will walk out of the meeting with you.

Hey LL. I don't know your scenario, so its hard to know whats up. The CO's are not informed of local needs talks. So that assumption may in fact be incorrect. How do you feel? What is the JC for? What do you believe is their intention?

    Did you slip to someone?

These and other details will help us give you advise. However, make sure you never yuse loaded language that will set off their radar. Be "uncertain" about things. Argue but allow for the possibility for you to be wrong. This will keep them from having the power to DF you.

I wouldn't even go to that dog and pony show.

Decision time - do you want to stay "in"? If you do it is easy - they will ask you "Do you accept the Governing Body is representing Jehohavah/Jesus on Earth?" You say yah, but I still have questions. They will say a prayer with you give you hugs and tell you to come to meetings to get your answers.... ta..da... No disfellowshipping. Then you can skip meetings the rest of your life - have a few uncomfortable run ins with bros in the real world and your family and friends won't cut you off.

Or you can try to convince them you're right...... Dissonance sets in and they will shut off their ears, minds, and hearts - disfellowshipping is their only option.

I would go in blazing with love that is showing how loving Jesus was and how the Good News was about Jesus and the 1969 Interlinear says right there in greek 'Lord' Not Jehovah, infact read the whole chapter them its obvious that its taking about Christ to his father. Read Acts chapter 9 where the whole chapter again talks about there following Jesus and not Jah. Kill them with all the wt literature thats wrong and ask if chosen after a 4 year inspection why did the holy spirit and Jesus feed the Faithful and Discreet Slave all wrong food? Show them in the King james bible luke 21:8 and ask 'if we are in the last days then isn't Jesus talking about us here?'

Hopefully when its over, you of course will be executed anyway but maybe you'll get through to one of the elders.

One final question to ask is 'If Jesus is the Good news and the bible tells us this over 100 times and we can know the father through him yet we don't preach this instead we preach about a kingdom and God and not much about Jesus, clearly a different message, doesn't that make us the Apostates?????
