Pedophile Denning, is writing a book in defence of his relationships with under-aged boys. Despite the protests of friends, who fear they will be implicated, he plans to publish the book in Europe and hopes it will also be distributed in Britain.
Denning, the man credited with the discovery of 70s pop group the Bay City Rollers, was a best friend of convicted pop impresario Jonathan King. He now lives in exile abroad. In Britain he is wanted for a series of alleged child sex offences. He served three-and-half years in prison in the Czech Republic for the sexual abuse of young boys, but left Prague last November after a failed attempt to extradite him to Britain.
King's name was mentioned by one of the boys involved in the Czech prosecution, which led to the investigation of King by Surrey police last year.
Denning, 60, comes from Bracknell, Berkshire and was one of Radio 1's original DJs in 1967. He now plans to write an 'honest' account of his life. In this country he has convictions for sexual assault, gross indecency and child porn, dating back over three decades, and is alleged to have been involved in a child abuse ring with several other well-known members of the entertainment industry.
News that he is writing a campaigning book has provoked a strong response among Denning's friends, he says. He told The Observer : 'Some of my friends are strongly against the idea.'
Tomorrow night Denning will appear in a controversial Channel 4 documentary about Jonathan King made by the journalist Jon Ronson. Ronson interviewed Denning after his release from prison in Prague.
Another friend of King, the songwriter and record producer Steven Jolley, was jailed for 18 months last year for indecently assaulting a 12-year-old boy.

Child Victims
An average of 5.5 children per 10,000 enrolled in day care are sexually abused, an average of 8.9 children out of every 10,000 are abused in the home
Source: Finkelhor & Williams, 1988.
**************************************************************************************
Offenders who served time for sexual assault were 7.5 times as likely as those convicted of other crimes to be rearrested for a new sexual assault. Approximately 8 percent of 2,214 rapists released from prisons in 11 states in 1983 were rearrested for a new rape within three years, compared to approximately 1 percent of released prisoners who served time for robbery or assault.
(I added this it was not in the statistics)
IT IS obvious and has been for years now that our Judicial System is well aware that when they let the offender go “WHEN” not if, they will more often then not ASSUALT another or the very same victim again. They will make sure that they don’t get caught though next time. 8% get caught. Who knows what happened to the victims of the ones who didn’t get caught. Or maybe they are not incarcerated as sex offenders the next time maybe they got bumped up to murder.

Addressing the mandate of the National Child Protection Act of 1993, which called for a study of offenders who committed crimes against children, this study found that:
1 in 5 violent State prisoners (about 65,000 offenders) reported a victim under age 18;
Older violent inmates were substantially more likely than younger inmates to have victimized a child; and
8 out of 10 prisoners convicted of sexual assault had committed their crime against a victim under age 18.
Two-Thirds of Sex Offenders in State Prisons
Victimized a Child
For offenders imprisoned for violent crimes against victims younger than 18 (1991):
Almost 10 percent were convicted of murder or manslaughter of a child;.
Fifteen percent were convicted of forcible rape;
Fifty-seven percent were convicted of other types of sexual assault (statutory rape, lewd acts or forcible sodomy, etc.);
Approximately 10 percent had beaten or threatened their young victims;
About 30 percent reported attacks on more than one child;
Children younger than 18 were the victims in almost 20 percent of the violent crimes; and
More than half of the child victims were 12 or younger.
Inmate interviews in 277 prisons in 45 states, conducted during 1991, revealed:
Of all prisoners convicted of rape or sexual assault, two-thirds victimized children;
Three out of four child victims were female;
Offenders typically preyed on children they knew, not strangers;
Eighty-eight percent had a prior relationship with their victims;
Prisoners convicted of attacking children were mostly male (97 percent);
Almost 70 were percent white;
Sixty-four percent were married or divorced;
Child victimizers were generally five years older than those who victimized adults;
About 22 percent of the child sex offenders reported having been sexually abused themselves during childhood; and
Three out of four prisoners who victimized a child reported the crime took place in their own home or in the victim's home.

Corruption and abuse
Corruption and abuse are linked, corruption is the breading ground of abuse, corruption happens because the public allow it to. Therefore the public has a collective guilt concerning abuse. Abuse is covered up because complaints are placed in peoples files and not answered, vulnerable people who complain have recourses taken away from them and organisations, which are meant to care for people, are not accountable to the people they are supposed to help. These are some of the reasons that abuse happens, the public allows this because it does not wont to take responsibility for people in need of care.
Some times abuse story’s hit the headlines and the public is alarmed. Major inquires are done at huge public expense. Sometimes even big international insurance companies have been found to have prevented investigation into child abuse. However the company usually changes its name and no criminal charges are brought. Very little, if anything, is done for the victims but the public are satisfied. After all lengthy reports are done and we are assured things will change.
Zurich Municipal and the North Wales Child Abuse Inquiry.
Municipal Mutual Insurance company was found to have stopped an investigation into child abuse at social services children's homes in North Wales, so they wouldn't have to pay compensation claims.
Meanwhile children continued to be abused.
The matter was revealed in the Watrehouse report about the scandal yet no criminal charges where brought against Municipal staff. This clearly shows the UK's attitude to it's vulnerable members of society and their human rights. The insurance company Zurich Municipal, took over Municipal Mutual Insurance after its financial collapse.

'They used to make us run through a line of showers naked. One of the showers was boiling hot and the other was freezing cold. This would go on for an hour at a time. If we slowed down, we were whipped' He saw a member of staff rub his friend's face in the shards of a light bulb which he had accidentally smashed. 'He was one of my best friends. He hanged himself when he was 27'.
At least 12 victims have committed suicide, one has been convicted for murder and hundreds of others say their lives have been destroyed by the abuse they endured.
'I am very disappointed,' said Steve Messham for North Wales abuse survivors. 'The tribunal made us relive the abuse we had suffered, but for what? We have had no help, support, counselling or compensation'.

Many abuse survivors experience post traumatic stress disorder but go undiagnosed and untreated by psychiatry. The problem is not recognized because diagnosing it will lead to legal cases against institutions that abuse people. By ignoring the issue of abuse it remains hidden. Instead Psychiatrists write reports about people's personality and this means that society doesn’t provide proper treatment facility for the victims.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
What is post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD? Just like it sounds, a person re-experiences a traumatic event from the past and all its associated emotions and psychological fears.
Maybe even thirty or more years after the event took place.

Gary Glitter, AKA Paul Gladd, and child pornography.
"Some were as young as two years old.Some images showed children being tortured."
Saturday November 13, 1999.
The glam rock star Gary Glitter received a four-month prison sentence, after pleading guilty to a string of child pornography charges.
Sentencing Glitter, Mr Justice Butterfield said "This is not a victimless crime. The victims are the little children whose images you wished to view. Without the ultimate consumer, men like you prepared to pay for this material, there would be no market for this filth."
John Royce QC, prosecuting, said: "The investigation demonstrated that he had an appetite for child pornography that was bluntly voracious.
"He spent literally hundreds of hours logged on seeking out material of the sickest kind." He was often logged on for six or 12 hours at a time.
Dressed in a dark blue suit and wearing the bouffant pony-tailed wig he uses to hide his baldness, Glitter bowed to cheering supporters in the public gallery as the last of the not guilty verdicts was read out by the jury foreman.
I recently read that paedophile Gadd was planning a "comeback tour."

The Guardian News Paper
Sunday January 7, 2001.
An epidemic of internet child porn is sweeping the country, according to police and probation staff, including live action of children being abused.
An Observer investigation has revealed that most offenders are not considered as paedophiles by the courts and commonly receive light sentences, some as lenient as 80 hours' community service
Police operations have revealed a network of computer-literate offenders, each with tens of thousands of pictures and videos of children as young as two.
Lee Moore, of the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers, said the courts still refused to recognise that child porn was abuse:
The Guardian. Tuesday January 22, 2002
Marc Dutroux, the Belgian electrician accused of kidnapping, raping and murdering four young girls in the mid-1990s, has claimed that he did not act alone but was part of a wider paedophile network.
The horror of his alleged crimes brought 350,000 people on to the streets of Brussels in 1996 to condemn the police and the justice system, which were widely perceived to have bungled the investigation.
And now in an unauthorised interview with a TV journalist who masqueraded as a politician's chauffeur to gain access to Dutroux's prison cell, Belgium's most hated man has alleged for the first time that he procured girls as young as eight for "the network".
His comments have caused uproar in Belgium where the victims' relatives have long claimed the existence of such a network and alleged that its activities were covered up because senior politicians and policemen were part of it.
"A network with all kinds of criminal activities really does exist," Dutroux told VTM, a Flemish TV station. "I maintained regular contacts with the people who made up this network. But the authorities don't want to look into it."

SHAMED by the Marc Dutroux paedophilia scandal, Belgium watched aghast yesterday as another lurid child sex trial opened on its territory.
Nineteen people living in or near the picturesque Ardennes village of Sainte-Ode appeared in the dock, charged with having sex with a 12-year-old girl and other minors.
The accused include the girl’s father, 37, who ran a bar and offered her to other men for money, and the village doctor, 44, who has four children of his own. There were at least six other victims, including the girl’s baby sister.
The police have seized dozens of explicit and incriminating photographs from the home that the father shares with his girlfriend, a prostitute, in the shadow of a whitewashed village church. Most of the accused have admitted their guilt, but few villagers want to talk about the dark goings-on. The small courthouse in the nearby town of Neufchâteau was packed as the proceedings opened.
The girl’s father tried to kick photographers as he was led inside. The case once again focuses attention on Belgium’s paedophilia problem.
A month ago the police uncovered a Franco-Belgian child sex ring and are still searching for the body of a young North African girl whom they believe was sold to the ring, then murdered. It is the infamous Dutroux case that has really tarnished the nation’s reputation. Dutroux was arrested in 1996 on charges of abducting, raping and killing four girls, two of whom starved to death in makeshift dungeons beneath his house. Dutroux was already on parole for abduction and rape.
More than five years later he has yet to stand trial and rumours abound of a conspiracy to protect some important personages. In a recent clandestine interview Dutroux claimed that a child sex network still existed in Belgium and that the authorities were ignoring it.
Sainte-Ode is a tranquil village of 2,216 inhabitants that sits amid wooded hills on the banks of the Ourthe River in a conservative and traditional corner of southwestern Belgium.
There, from the age of 12, the girl known as “C” was allegedly forced to have sex not just with her divorced father, Pascal, but with a string of other men who visited their home, including a local forester, a car mechanic, a telephone technician, a lorry driver, an antiques salesman and the family doctor, who strenuously denies the charges against him.
“They did it with the woman or the daughter, whoever was at home,” the newspaper La Dernière Heure proclaimed.
After two years, the girl’s mother went to the police. Her father is also accused of sexually abusing his two other daughters, one just a baby
His girlfriend, Murielle, 30, the prostitute, is accused of aiding and abetting him. The father blames his partner for the sexual perversions that took place beneath his roof, while she claims that he was a violent drinker who forced her to help him.
Other accused claim that the couple trapped them.
Sainte-Ode is a place where everyone knows everyone.
Most of the villagers were aware that Pascal had a conviction for pimping and that Murielle was a prostitute.
A small, thin woman, she placed advertisements in local newspapers and used her curtains or a flower pot to signal her availability. The villagers vehemently deny any knowledge of the child sex ring. “The girl was always happy,” Jacques Pierre, the mayor, told the Belgian newspaper Het Niewsblad.
“When I was a teacher I more than once came across victims of incest.
The kids were scarred. With “C” you saw nothing. “The people in the village have nothing to reproach themselves for. Shame is not appropriate here.” Laura Hay, a resident, said that everyone was shocked when the scandal first broke. Murielle continues to live in the village, most wives of the accused have stuck by their husbands, and journalists are not welcome. A young Dutchman who has taken over the village bar said: “Nobody says anything here. That’s the problem ... In this closed community sex is something that has to be done secretly ... This secretive way of life sooner or later leads to excesses.” The trial is expected to last seven weeks
