  As the "truth about the truth' (delusional thinking bible interpetations) becomes more wide spread and the rate of JWs leaving the clutches of the WT corporation increases a war/battle results, it is true some are just happy to get out with no need to inflict any retaliatorial injury to the Corporation that held them hostage through deciet. Many on the other hand want to get their families out of this cult and a restoration of their good name from the cruel slander of an organization that has made a fortune off of their free labor and now forbids it members to have anything to do with them causing a great loss in former friends and family members. Is retailiation in order for these offenses? The answer is a personal one with no right or wrong answers.

  Attrition warfare is a military strategy in which a belligerent side attempts to win a war by wearing down its enemy to the point of collapse through continuous losses in personnel and materiel .

  Strategic considerations [edit]

  Military theorists and strategists like Sun Tzu have viewed attrition warfare as something to be avoided. In the sense that attrition warfare represents an attempt to grind down an opponent through superior numbers, it represents the opposite of the usual principles of war, where one attempts to achieve decisive victories by using minimal necessary resources and in minimal amount of time, throughmaneuver, concentration of force, surprise, and the like.   On the other hand, a side which perceives itself to be at a marked disadvantage in maneuver warfare or unit tactics may deliberately seek out attrition warfare to neutralize its opponent's advantages. If the sides are nearly evenly matched, the outcome of a war of attrition is likely to be a Pyrrhic victory.

  The difference between war of attrition and other forms of war is somewhat artificial, since war always contains an element of attrition. However, one can be said to pursue a strategy of attrition when one makes it the main goal to cause gradual attrition to the opponent eventually amounting to unacceptable or unsustainable levels for the opponent while limiting your own gradual losses to acceptable and sustainable levels. This should be seen as opposed to other main goals such as the conquest of some resource or territory or an attempt to cause the enemy great losses in a single stroke (e.g. by encirclement and capture).

  Historically, attritional methods are tried when other methods have failed or are obviously not feasible. Typically, when attritional methods have worn down the enemy sufficiently to make other methods feasible, attritional methods are abandoned in favor of other strategies. In World War I, improvements in firepower but not communications and mobility forced military commanders to rely on attrition, with terrible loss of life.

  Attritional methods are in themselves usually sufficient to cause a nation to give up a non-vital ambition, but other methods are generally necessary to achieve unconditional surrender.

  Another thing I think some of us tend to forget is that many things XJWs hate about the WTS could be exploited as potential weaknesses.

  The most successful "apostate" campaign against the WTS would be one that doesn't feed the R&F's collective persecution complex, but does take advantage of those weaknesses to undermine the organization's ability to properly function.

  For example, Julian Assange of Wikileaks is of the opinion that the more internal documents get leaked from any authoritarian regime, the harder that regime will try to tighten its grip on information control, eventually escalating to the point where it self-censors so much (to avoid the leaks) that it cripples its own ability to communicate with itself.

  If the WTS is ever beaten, or declines, or crashes and burns, that - in and of itself - would be elegent proof that it is not "God's Earthly Organization". After all, if it was, it none of that would have happened, right?

  In the wake of the Conti case, there have been statements made to the effect that "...any legal case brought aginst the WT is doomed to fail even if it's technically in the right..." (paraphrasing, but that's the gist); I would submit that this sentiment is not the exception, but, is, in fact, the norm among men throughout the WT heirarchy who are commited to its regime.

  Good points to consider. So an effective strategy of attrition would be to leak out information found in private correspondance thus crippling them through tighter self censorship. So defecting COs DOs save those letters the WT tells you to destroy and post them on the internet when opportunity is right. While there is an abundance of these I'm sure there are more to come.
