Secret "codes" that the W.T. use for their publications?

Hi, I haven't been on here for a really long time and stopped researching, however, I am starting to get back into it again.

So with that said, I have a question.... When I looked up a word phrase I wanted to find in an old 2004 W.T. library cd, it came up with a code of "ts" at the bottom of the printout that I printed. I failed to note what J.W. book this quote came from, and only know it's from a "ts".

I know they use codes to confuse non-jw's so they can't find which books, tracts, etc. their research comes from, so does anyone out there have a list of codes that the Watchtower uses for their volumes, tracts, Awakes and so on?

    Thanks in advance.

On the CD ROM if you look under 'HELP' there is a 'LIST OF PUBLICATIONS'. They are all in order with abbreviations and publication date.

The codes are not to confuse people. It's to help those at the printeries to keep tract of the thousands of different printed items in over 600 languages! Each signature of a book has a marking as well so that book parts in languages such as Twi don't get mixed in with signatures in Yoruba or some other language.

I remember a brother explaining this to me in the Brooklyn factory where they were binding books in languages no one in the factory knew.

    Thanks George and Atlantis, Nevada!

I think they should change the codes to BS. This would be a happifying simplification.
