When the urge to hit back is stronger than the instruction not to

Clearly, any JW apologist or JW friendly person who posts on this forum knows full well they are breaking their own organization's policies. Everything else is mere detail.

Even before the send button is struck, the JW knows they are doing something the organization has told them not to do. But they have disobeyed. They have disregarded the "wise" counsel. They have spat out that part of the food in due season. Nothing else matters. They have broken the rules.

On that basis alone they are engaging in hypocritical behavior. They want to do a Jeremiah or Ezekiel on us: Dump and run. But the organization tells them they should not. It is not their job. They have to control their urges to hit back, to show restraint.

Possibly worse than their hypocrisy is their lack of faith in either their all-powerful God's ability to sanctify his name or the Governing Body's ability to take care of the flock through warnings.

Moreover, for a JW to still comment - even if it is a Jeremiad dump and run - tells us a lot about the JWs poor emotion regulation: They have failed to control the urge to hit back. They have fallen into temptation. Their faith is not equal to their forbidden urges.

And, in their hypocrisy, their lack of faith in their God and their organization and in their poor emotion regulation, they reveal who and what they are.

The best response from any of us - who are not under any such GB instructions - is to congratulate these JWs on being at odds with their proclaimed - if not shouted - faith in the organization. The only difference between them and us is one of degrees of defiance. That is all. Period.

Thank goodness the back door exit for their kingdom hall is sufficiently wide for them to carry their shameful secret as they slink into the night air back home to their laptop secrets.

Yes, to all you JW's who post denunciatory comments to apostates on this and other sites, Jehovah is watching you and waiting. And, take it from Jeremiah and Ezekiel, he is very angry with you. You have been warned.

Well said. Then again, when a person's entire way of life is filled with contridictions (shunning = love, ask others to question their belief = don't question yours, etc.) what's a little extra cognative dissonance?

If a person can believe that any god operates solely through a handful of uneducated, unenlightened mo-mo's sitting around a table in Brooklyn then that same person can talk themselves into believing that they are justified in visiting "apostate" websites to "wage spiritual warfare".

To all JW true believers who go on apostate websites to give apostates "the business:"

Congratulations on not really believing what you think you believe and giving us "apostates" that warm feeling of being persecuted for our beliefs.

    Thank you!

Hey Mum, I'm for anything that makes me feel warm!

yes, Partisan, JWs live their lives with very compartmentalized thinking - it covers a multitude of contradictions.

Apologist only post when they think jehovahs takin' a napp

many a true word is said in jest, wasblind - many JWs conception of God is very adolescent to say the least.

You've certainly hardened your heart against the truth over he years Steve.

I agree with your point but I also see more complexity from my personal reaction to it. They have so much chutzpah to show up here and PREACH to me, of all people. I fight back. There is another way of looking at it, though. Perhaps they are the very Witnesses close to leaving and they just need life to present them with an extra nudge.

I feel guilty when I tell them where to go. The fundamental truth is that if the Internet existed when I was young, I would be unable to control myself and would come here to preach and preach and preach. So one way I agree with you totally but I know my guilt.

The rage in me is unbelievable. I plan my life not to come into touch with them in any manner. In fact, I will walk blocks out of my way and shop at different stores to not meet any. This may explain why I adore the experience of luxury stores. The swanker and the more expensive the store the more I am protected from an encounter with a WT in the ladies' room or have another customer witness to me.

I would not vent towards a live person in front of me the way I do here. There is a process of which I am very conscious. I never err on the side of restraint. Take them down. It shocks me b/c I am not so vicious normally. They trigger me inordinately. I see myself or the self I once was in them.

True observation, but I've softened it in other areas, like in my response to you. I doubt if the angels are worried. When push comes to shove, I tend to sometimes oblige by politely falling over.

It depends SBF. As they say, choose your battles. I hold the organization accountable for its high-minded claims and expect loyal witnesses to be loyal - but within the constraints set by their GB. I respond well to others humility but not so well to puffed up claims. You appear to be someone who is considered and fair-minded in what you say about the organization - and I respect that - particularly when it is too easy to blame everything and anything on the organization - kind of like the mirror opposite of what the witnesses do i.e., blame Satan's world for everything and anything but excuse their own transgressions as human imperfection.
