Things are moving fast in Denmark. The Society is getting a lot of negative publicity. If you use google chrome you can actually translate whole websites: Here is a lot of different articles from Politiken (a huge danish newspaper):

Who were the 'Apostates' mentioned in the talk Blondie posted that had to be thrown out of Brooklyn in 1970's?

It sounds to me like the speaker toned it down or missed a bit out by mistake or due to timing.
In any case, isn't it 'encouraging(TM)' that Jehovah(TM) gives the 'food at the proper time(TM)'. It's a pity the trademark god of the paedophile heaven cult JWs can't get his portions even. What a twerp!

The "Human Apostates" talk at my recent DC was very tame as well. The speaker did use the term "mentally diseased" once, but that's as severe as it got. Most of his points were tied to apostates trying to draw others to follow them.
Those Danish articles were interesting, especially the one where the JW statements were compared to Nazi party propeganda statements against the Jews. How ironic.

Interesting. If you compare the one posted here in English
with the dutch version just posted on this thread (via Google translate)
I don`t know which assemblies either was at, and the translation of the first is a bit rough via Google, but the second one definately seems less virulent than the first.

Hey, guys! I've been lurking for quite a while on here, but I thought I'd finally comment. I'm a Sociology student who's been doing research on several congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses for 3 years. I just recently finished up.
I printed off a copy of the transcript someone posted on this site, with the intention of comparing it to the talk I would hear at the District Convention I went to this past weekend. I haven't transcribed the tape yet, but the two talks were significantly different. The verses were all the same, and the ideas, but specific examples of apostate activity was missing (claim JWs supported Hitler, etc.), and he said apostates were "diseased in a mental sense," as opposed to "mentally-diseased."
As soon as I transcribe the talk I heard, I'll post it here.

.
Remember, just because the rhetoric has been "toned down" publicly does not mean there will be any real change in attitudes or actions.

More evidence that the Organization is nothing but full of stale hot air, reactionary and defensive, no trail blazing truths.
