She had one of the most enviable careers in film. Five Easy Pieces, Easy Rider, Portnoy's Complaint, The Great Gatsby, Airport 75, The Day Of The Locust, Nashville, Burnt Offerings, and some of the best and creepiest Terror and Horror flicks for anyone who loves a good Halloween scare film fest..

In just over 50 years she appeared in over 90 films, she had one of the most recognizable faces on the big screne.

    Karen was 74

Its always sad when you here an actor you have" known" for many years has died. She was Elliot Goulds romantic interest in the classic film Capricorn One , a favourite of mine.

    R.I.P. Karen

"Trilogy of Terror" with the Zuni doll scared me so much when I was a kid.

Yes to what 'rip van winkle' said! Last scene when she was squatted down, waiting, throwing that blade into the floor! She was a goody all right, talented and so versatile. Have seen her recently in some old black and white shows like Alfred Hitchcock and Bachelor Father where she played 'Uncle Bentley's' secretary... lovely.

Honestly, she didn't need much makeup for the horror flicks, she was downright scary with those wild eyes!

May she rest in peace, but I always assumed she was cross-eyed. Thought it was very unusual that she was in the movies.

I remember her in Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark. Saw it as a kid and scared the heck out of me.
