It seems all humans and groups suffer from the universal problem of being able to see what is wrong with others, but not themselves.
So how to "help"?
Maybe some paraphrasing of what the Watchtower has written about others, which equally applies to them?
*** w09 6/1 p. 9 They Loved the Word of God ***
[Ray Franz' book "In Search of Christian Freedom"] was not welcomed by the [Watchtower Corporation]. The Mysteries of the [Watchtower] explains why the church was opposed: “The laity [class, or other sheep, or domestics] were thus enabled to compare the simplicity of primitive Christianity with contemporary [Watchtowerism]. . . How great the divergence between the teaching of the Founder of Christianity, and his self-styled vicegerent [the GB/FDS/Sanhedrin] really was, became first glaringly evident.”
[The Governing Body 1.0] issued... edicts condemning [Franz']. But the [writer] was undeterred. He replied: “[Legalism is a denial of Christian faith, and a denial of the gospel of grace]".
The prospect of the [book ISOCF] being circulated so worried the church that [the GB and their ruling religious clergy class] threatened to excommunicate anyone who read it.
[Ray Franz], heard an educated man say that it would be better to be without God’s law than without the [GB's]. [Franz] responded by stating that if God allowed him, before long he would make sure that even a plowboy would have more knowledge of the Bible than the [the GB and their ruling religious clergy class].
Any suggestions on how the WBTS could be "helped"?
