WEASEL words: "nobody forced to choose religion vs family" Insight

Do we see now how this "statement" in the Public Rags is deceitful?

"Nobody should be forced to choose between a RELIGIOUS WAY THEY CANNOT CONCIENTIOUSLY BELIEVE or their FAMILY."

ALL Jdubs conscientiously believe what they are forced to swallow. Therefore the choice is NOT that of the JW family member.

Again it is "YOU made me do this DF crap."

The reader in the world will think this is saying JWs are not forced to stay in a religion they no longer believe.

Jdub believers regularly choose a religious belief they CAN conscientiously follow (the WAtchtower Religion) against their family.

Of course. It's a lie when applied to them. They just think it should be true of all other religions. Lol. Jerks.

    Public Rags -

Magazines the public reads - watered down stuff to gull the unwary that the WT religion is innocuous.

I no longer harbour the litterature at home either in hard copy or paper, so somebody else will have to find the quote.

    Dont you remember it?

Is it right that a hamster should take issue with a weasel?

Yeah, it's classic JW "weasel word" usage, designed to appear to be saying something which they aren't really saying at all, counting on 99% of the readers to not catch the 'plausible deniability' of legalism.

And while the article mentions that while the member is free to leave the JW religion, it forgets to mention how the family is forced by JW policy to SHUN the member, or be shunned themselves!

The serpent in the Garden didn't even resort to such deceptive word use, and he was supposedly Satan.

It seems the hamster is going in with his eyes wide open to the risks he's taking of being eaten by a weasel, with a name like "hamsterbait".

This quote is far from reality.

Does study of the Bible lead to family breakup? No. In fact, the Bible encourages a husband and wife who practice different religions to remain together as a family.— 1 Corinthians 7:12, 13 .

There have been many experiences on here where the JW partner leaves due to fear of spiritual endangerment, sometimes at the encouragement of the elders. I wonder how an elder would respond in such a situation if shown this quote.
