Well they are the most educated people in the world in bullshit watchtower lies. in typical wt style they twist and lie or leave out important facts in their statemetns.

Definition: Clergy, a group ordained to perform pastoral or sacerdotal functions in a Christian church.
(Note. Some sacerdotal synonyms are priestly, clerical, and ministerial.)
Who is assigned, or ordained, to perform pastoral and ministerial functions in the congregation?
The Elders!
Then the JWs say, "Well, we have no paid clergy"
But, the Circuit Overseers are paid (not much) by The Watchtower, and they are ordained to perform pastoral and ministerial functions.
So the JW will say, "Our elders don't wear clerical collars, so we don't have a clergy class!"
You can't win.
Our pastor doesn't wear a clerical collar, either.
