remember , there's three pointing back at the WT ! here it is:

The following quote is taken from the Awake 22nd April 1970 issue, pg 8 : -

"One of the reasons is that people are disturbed by what is happening in their churches. Yes, millions of persons have been shocked to learn that things they were taught as being vital for salvation are now considered by their church to be wrong. Have you too felt discouragement or even despair, because of what is happening in your church?

"Tell me, he asked, "How can I have confidence in anything? How can I believe in the Bible, God or have faith? Just ten years ago we Catholics had the absolute truth, we put all our faith in this. Now the Pope and the priests are telling us this is not the way to believe any more, but we are to believe new things. How do I know the 'new things' will be truth in 5 years?"

    Nice one.

Did they reach a conclusion in that article like " why trust a religion that changes its' teachings"? if so that would be even more handy....

On page 8 in the article " They wanted me to prove the truth to myself ". It is the story of a young man who became a Mormon. Why? His parents were impressed by the clean- cut, well mannered ministers of the cult religion. As this young man grew up, he enjoyed the social activities and respected the moral values of the Mormons.

This young man had family in the " truth ". He was impressed by the JW's use of the Bible at a convention. His Aunt and Uncle said that he should prove the truth to himself. So his search begins. He was suprised at how little he really knew about Mormon teachings. So he went to the official Mormon web-site. He was disturbed by doctrinal discrepencies.

Here is the quote that jumped out at me. While searching for answers, this young man decides to speak with responsible Church leaders about his questions and doubts. What was he told?

" I was told that the answers to my questions involved mysteries that one day would be solved as the light became brighter "

There is another funny sentence for those of us who know how the WTBTS mis-quotes sources. The young man, we will call him...Andre, was moved to study the official Mormon website! He was impressed that what the AWAKE! stated about the Mormons was factual. I would have to confirm that myself. It is ironic that the WTBTS points fingers.

[ I wrote cult religion in my first post. Cult does NOT appear in the original article. ]
