You know, I used to think the GB would never have anything to do with guys like him (supposedly, he doesn't like JWs). I know better, now; they'd feel right at home in each others' company.

Ah, if only Pat paid closer attention to the details of the false urban legends he passes along: decades ago, he probably heard about gays who use metallic COCK rings which potentially MIGHT help spread the transmission of HIV by causing small breaks/tears in the anal wall during anal sex.
The poor senile fool's gelatinized grey-matter has discombobulated the details, and he's transformed the COCK ring into a ring worn on the gay person's FINGER (i.e. a wedding ring: perhaps motivated by his frustration of seeing gay marriage being passed into law?). As Paul Harvey said, that's likely the REST of the STORY.
