Radar - interesting topic - recognize most of those titles as I "served" as talk coordinator for several years. My talks were mostly the prophecy bible chronology type - ones that are probably undergoing constant revisions and updates now!

Guess I have been away too long to venture a guess. Perhaps it is one of the "special talks" that was added to the list?

Gem - I think the original title of that talk was, "Conditional love identifies the true christian congregation." ;)

Now what is one of the most controversial subjects, that the average JW would want to avoid on the Ministry, one that raises peoples temperatures like no other?

What do the general public identify JWs with?

Yes, you got it Blood!

Would it not seem reasonable then, that such an issue as blood would be on the Public Talk list?
Of all the sacrifices that many JWs have made over this issue, and the public interest in this subject of why JWs refuse transfusions.
Yet the Watchtower is very silent when it comes to public talks on it.

The only occasion a Public talk will be heard on the subject, is when the public talk co-ordinator can unofficially twist one of the local hospital liaison members arms and get him to do the talk.

To my knowledge, the religious stand on blood and the medical issues that arise because of it are not given as a Public talk.
There may be the occasional reference to it in part of a public Talk, but no outline deals primarily with this issue.

This may of changed since I left. Maybe you can give me an update.

So that leaves the question why?

I've only seen one talk on blood, and it was exactly as you described. There was a member of the liason committee there who gave the talk, and I believe the circuit overseer was present as well. That was quite some time ago though...at least 6 years ago.
