In order to get a booking a little nearer to Xmas (November wasn't quite pagan enough) we have booked The Farmhouse Burrfields Road, Portsmouth PO3 5HH for 7th December @ 12 noon. If you want to come please let us know as soon as possible. The restuarant wants a deposit of £5 per person payable in 2 weeks. This booked up really quickly last year, so act promptly if you want to join in the merriment.

Dagney - You are quite correct, XJW Xmas bashes are the best, except for those overlooking the beach in LA. I am looking forward to seeing you all again next time I am in Cali!

Mrs Phizzy and I would love to be there, but cannot say for sure until the last minute, by which time it may well be too late, we shall see.
We have family problems in the form of an elderly relative who we care for on odd days who has Alzheimers, the old boy is still in his own home, we are only called upon when the dear girl, another relative, who cares day to day, has an emergency, but we have to be free to jump in if needed.
I am a fully qualified Nutter,(Grade One with Distinction), and so is Cantleave, so it would be good to get together Snare.

Joe - there are loads of cheap hotel - for Pete's sake we are talking about Pompey the armpit of the Hampshire basin!
PHIZZY - Even if you leave it late - the resturant is big enough you may not be on the same table as the rest of us, but you and I can prop up the bar togther!
