Has anyone had a circuit visit this week and seen the dvd for elders/Mss? I'm guessing it's got an introduction from one of the GB and then demonstrations of how to behave in different situations. I'd like to be prepared before seeing it to ask suitable questions.

Demonstrations on DVD? Let's hope they're livelier and more polished and meaningful than the ones that "die" slow deaths when demonstrated on the platform.
Well it must be a really long DVD presentation, or at least the meeting and discussion around it. The Ministerial Servants only got half an hour and were out the door by 7pm, but the Elders apparently didn't get out while 10pm, so it was a 3 hour meeting for them! Must be something juicy.

We always went down the pub after the elder's meeting, so my wife thought the meetings were much longer than they actually were.
What I heard is the DVD is played and paused at different points, and questions are asked, "What would you do in this situation?" Discuss. Then press play.

There was a video like that at the last elders' "training" <snort> school a year or 2 back. Wouldn't surprise me if they used the same method for CO visit elders' meetings now.

The dvd is fom the GB (another loving provision) so that their will be no rogue CO's out their giving their own opinion to the elders. It will be nice for the friends when all pubic public talks will just be dvd's from the GB and they won't have to suffer through 30 min. boring talks by dull speakers. Most JW's would welcome back the phonograph work---only now they would only need a small ipod. the org wouldn't have to print the stupid "Sample Presentations" on the back of the KM.
Soon everything from the stage will be a manuscript directly from the GB. No more freelancing!
