Fun dinner tonight with ex-JWs

  I got to meet some real live JWN posters tonight, they stopped here and we met for dinner. I was nervous about it, but they are a lovely couple, very intelligent and fun. I am sure I talked too much, it was all so interesting -- swapping stories about our JW histories and how we got out and what we're all doing now. I really liked them, hope they'll come this way again some day. I won't say who they are, they can share that info if they want to.

  If any of you are driving way the hell north in California on highway 5, let me know. I'd like to meet more of you. We can meet for coffee at the Black Bear Diner. I'm surrounded by people who talk to Lemurians and think there's a city inside Mt. Shasta, it is nice to meet a couple of sane people!

  Hortensia, I was in that area 2 years ago.

  It was a hot day. We stopped at McDonald's for a cold drink.

  It is a lovely McDonald's on a great piece of property.

  Mount Shasta is so picturesque. It is so close, it is like you can almost reach out and touch it. lol

  Next time I'm going through there, I certainly would love to meet you in person.

  Yeah, that McD is in a very pretty location. A friend and I sometimes drive there for a burger and we sit in the car and watch the mountain, and do some great people watching too.

  If so, beware!!! It's a scam!

  These people very recently plied us with wine, while their "stud" seduced our cat (they're not even the same species...disgraceful!!!).

  This "creature" even ate her food, and drank her water!

  They pretend to be a "lovely couple", so that their "beast" can take advantage of your pet.

  Wow! You know them, too! They told me about how much your cat loved their cute little mammal. Well, I kept my cat safely at home so she wasn't exposed to temptation.

  My husband and I ate at that Black Bear Diner on the 5 near Mt. Shasta 4 years ago. Doubt we will be in area any time soon.

  I thought you must at least be exaggerating a little bit, but no. My goodness, you are living smack dab in the middle of a very unique bunch of complete loons! Anyway, I'm sure you'll never get sucked into any more mind-control religions, so we're not too worried about your intellectual safety.

  As for Queequeg's uncalled-for slandering of our innocent little pooch, I must strenuously object. Their cat shamelessly used her feline wiles on our little guy, even going so far as to nuzzle up to him, when in fact she was placing her scent on him to "mark" him as "taken" from other potential suitors.

  All joking aside, it was a genuine pleasure spending some time with you and we'll be sure to give you a call next time we're driving by.

  Hi Hortensia. My wife and I had breakfast at the Black Bear dinner just two weeks ago. We were on Holiday and we stayed at the Mount Shasta Resort. My wife liked Shasta so much we plan to come back next year. Didn't know any ex-JWs lived in Shasta. Maybe next time we can get together.

  Yup, I live in crazy central. That's why it was such a good thing to meet you and your wife and your pooch. Sane people who can carry on a conversation without mentioning spirits or the universe or Telos or conspiracy theories! It was very refreshing. I guess you googled I Am and the St. Germaine folks. There's a Buddhist abbey here too. I had a wonderful conversation with one of them recently, about why they dress that way and why they walk around Mt. Shasta City with begging bowls as if they were in India. At least, I enjoyed the conversation. Not sure she did.
