Not to mention the wastes of paper during their campaign. Those things murder more trees, mostly for material that is going to end up in the rubbish. This is like clear-cutting Delaware just so they can destroy people's spirituality and waste their time making them pious-sneer and eat up free time.
And, the gas they waste. The energy wasted by witlesses going door to door or to their boasting sessions is staggering, and they are not known for being efficient. How long did they hold onto incandescent lighting, now that compact fluorescent and even LED are widely available? I could take out every single one of the incandescent lights in the vestibule and replace it with LEDs that use about 10% of the energy, and the sacrifice would be zero. Air conditioners are very inefficient--they use the worst rubbish models possible.
As for recycling, has anyone ever seen a Kingdumb Hell with a recycling bin that actually used it? I have seen cardboard, glass bottles, and #1 and #2 plastic that could be recycled in the rubbish. For a group that is so into that new world, and then they don't even recycle, shame on them! Reduce (use premium quality product so you won't be replacing things), reuse (get reusable things instead of disposable), recycle. That is the platform--yet the witlesses don't even follow their own platform.
