Tell the Elders to get a dictionary, and look up the definition of forsake. Then ignore them. Nothing bothers a control freak more than being ignored, and nothing makes a bully more frightened that someone taking a stand against them. Rattle the cages!

Matthew 6:26
New International Version (NIV)
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
They forgot that although they have wings... chickens are not birds of the air
Anthony buddy . ..... chickens are domesticated ... they have become dependent like your followers !!
The animal needs to be able to eat a lot of different thing and be willing to live off the scraps of humans. If the animals are able to eat stuff humans can't, such as grass, then even better. This also makes strict carnivores somewhat more difficult to domesticate than other animals
Dogs, for instance, might be the descendants of wolves that had mutated to be more comfortable around humans. Obviously, this is a subtle distinction, and the question comes down to whether certain animals always had the basic traits required for domestication, and they just required some selective breeding to bring them out, or whether a chance mutation needs to occur in order to create domestication-ready traits.
Are you a sheep-like person ?
What makes an animal possible to domesticate? http://io9.com/5756178/why-can-some-animals-never-be-domesticated
1) commits humans to providing a ready food source of other animals for them to eat.
2)The animals need to be willing to recognize humans as their new masters, which means they must have a flexible social hierarchy.
Now you understand who "the domestics" are and why they are so dependent for spiritual food

Fwiw, the chickens could have been stolen by jealous villagers.
