Internet VS WTS

Interesting thought about "existential security". There are statisticians like Hans Rosling who agree. Increase security, and birth rates go down, for instance.

The US is very wealthy and powerful, but an outstanding difference between the US and other developed nations, is its relative income disparity, higher infant mortality and lower life expectancy. Those three factors would make religions like the Witnesses more attractive to the poorest within.

Indeed people in the United States have a lot of insecurity for such a rich nation: precarious health insurance arrangments and a light social security net probably provide enough insecurity to account for the relatively high levels of religious participation.

Hmm, I hadn't thought about that before, interesting jgnat!

In the conscious awareness of the GB of the WTS. the inter-net is probably the most detrimental and damaging

thing to ever pose a plausible threat to their organization, which is the easily accessible information available on the inter-net.

The inter-net openly exposes the lies and indulgent corruption of this religious publishing house.

... and the GB members realize and acknowledge this now.

A click away did it for me, and I am new to TTATT this year.

But I would also like to say in my opnion, like a couple of others (cofty, jwfacts), seeing athiests in the trenches is possible. My precious boy, who is having a terrible time right now, and is in the trenches, told me yesterday, he does not believe in God anymore. Being in the trenches is how many become athiest and has nothing to do with the internet for them in my veiw.

Internet VS God........................I don't know the winner yet?????????????????

Internet VS WTBTS....................winners are JWN, jwsurvey, jwfacts, AAWA all excellent sites that made a huge difference for our family

Jeffro: "They probably won't try to track actual location, but if the JW app requests access to your device's location services function (i.e. GPS), just say NO." Recent news about the amount of information being tracked and stored by the NSA, is an indicator that they can not only track and store your personal communications, but also use the microphone and camera on your device, at will. I'm not suggesting the WTS would do that, of course, but it is possible to do this without your knowledge. Our assumption of privacy, is not an accurate one. Always assume they are watching and listening... Install their app, and you will just be opening another door into your private life. Carefully read the user agreement before installing anything, especially a device you carry with you all the time. It is possible, although I'm sure the WTS has no interest in anyone's personal and private matters. They will leave these things in the hands of Jehovah to decide at harvest time.

In essence the inter-net is providing new and informative light on the operations of the Watchtower Corporation

and of its history as a religious publishing house for open evaluation by the general public .

If Jehovah's guiding holy spirit is " Truth " then maybe god might have a hand in this ???

No. Whilst it's true that security officials would be able to get access to communications and position information from telecommunications companies, such as by triangulating positions from mobile phone towers, there is zero evidence that they can remotely enable the GPS, microphone or camera on the device. Even if they could (such as through a backdoor specifically co-ordinated between the security agencies and the creators of the devices), there is no reason at all why standard app creators (such as Watch Tower) would be able to circumvent the standard security options on the mobile devices to prevent uncontrolled access to such functions.

Companies such as Watch Tower have no right at all to request information from the telcos regarding communications or location.

Ok Jeffro, if you say so... You're using much bigger words than I am, so you must know. My husband is a programmer, but he has never done any programming in this environment yet. I am the first to admit that I have a lot to learn. I hope I am wrong.

I still don't think you can be too careful.

I would highly recommend reading the user agreement in its entirety, unless it comes from a source you can trust. The devil is in the details and in the fine print.

Is the watchtower worried about the effect of the internet. It would be silly to suggest that the wouldn't be. But what I am saying is that to use a graph to suggest in countries that have high internet use is the sole factor is just been short sighted. I don't know if anyone has done this but I would be willing to bet if a graph was drawn to show the relationship between wealth and Wt growth,it would look very similar to the internet one. BTW I was using the example of "There is never an atheist in the trenches" to show when the chips are down this can creat an opportunity for religious movements.
