RNWT Bible only in English

So, the English speaking JW world has got the RNWT Bible.

So, 60 percent of the non-english JW world still has to to use / read their old NWT Bible.

And reads in Watchtowers from 2014 on bible text translated from the English RNWT to their language, and mention the changes with their own bible.

This is a very strange situation!

So, like G. Jackson would say, the non-english JW world has to wait for some not so warm summers to keep up with the new RNWT Bible.

    Gorbatchov:

And reads in Watchtowers from 2014 on bible text translated from the English RNWT to their language, and mention the changes with their own bible.

If they're reading The Watchtower in a language other than English, it would be quoting from the NWT in that language, so the revision of the English version isn't relevant. The only exceptions would be for languages in which the NWT isn't available at all, and those issues of the magazines generally quote from another translation in the same language.

Unseemly envy breaks out among non-English-speaking Witnesses around the globe. French-speaking Witnesses in particular seeth with envy even as I write. Where is our gray-embossed French translation? We better get one before the Amazonian Whobawooba tribe get theirs!

But there is another way of looking at it...

Translation of the NWT has really taken off in the past 15 years with dozens of new languages added. And reportedly the translations into those new languages have been in modern, easy-to-understand language. So in a sense the English revision is playing catch-up with the new NWT versions in those other languages.

On the other hand those languages where the NWT has been available for decades such as French, German and Spanish are probably still very wooden and badly in need of revision.

So my "global" conclusion is: There is absolute no worldwide NWT bible. There are many different versions. And according Watchtower, it's the only true bible. Smilr. Lol. Smile.

    Spot on Gorbachov & SBF.

In the AGM spoiler thread on JWTalk there are comments about the English bible now catching up with the Vietnamese version.

Don't forget as well that they have not got rid of the old version. They still want you to use that for "reference" so they have not really altered much in the way of meaning just how it reads to English speaking people.

The bible looks like 50 shades of Grey... (without the 49 shades that made the other book a bestseller :P).

Is there any evidence that any one of these governing body members has scholarly credentials to be doing Bible translation work?

The old NWT can be used to verify the NNWT and vice versa - this is a polished version of "What I said yesterday needs to be referenced to What I say today and vice versa". The longer I say it, the more authoritative I sound.
