I had two boys come to the door selling candy bars. They rang the bell and then pounded on the door. I was folding laundry and could not untangle myself quick enough to get to the door before the banging started.

They smiled and asked if I would buy a candy bar. Only $1.00.

I declined, stating that I had no cash on me and my husband has the check book. I apologized.

One of the boys said OK and turned to leave. The second boy scowled and turned away without saying anything.

As I was turning away and closing the door, the second boy called me a JAG-OFF!! (sp?)

My front window was open and I watched them leave. The first boy laughed and said "Yeah, she was a JAG-OFF."

I have no idea whose these children belong to. I was stunned. They were maybe 9 years old.

    Can a woman even be a JAG-OFF?

    Tina,

    That's "jack off".

If you remember what org. they were selling for (local group???) why not give a call and let the group leaders know what happened?

No you cannot be a jag-off. That would be me. Men are jag-offs. The appropriate term for nine year olds to call women who politely do not buy candy bars, is not jag-off. It is bitch. Next time nine year olds address you wrong, you should correct them on it.

You have to get in touch with the times. It is no longer jack-off. It has been urbanized as jag-off. It does in fact have a G in it.

Let's see, three wives, seven concubines, nine slave girls, and twenty-seven black nazi female body guards. I've only got forty-five women to go and my cult is complete

In bible times such insolence would not be tolerated. Very likely the miscreants would find themselves tore to pieces by wild animals.

I thought of asking where they were from and who they were selling for.....after they were at a neighbors.

Next time, I will sic my cat on them.

I thought Jag-off was correct...however, I would call a man that, not a woman. They will learn the hard way. Brats

Kids are getting so rude, so young. A few weeks ago I was with my kids at the park. Some older kids came with skateboards and my five year old son told them they couldn't skateboard there. The sign said no skateboarding. The ignored him. I went over and asked them to be a good example to the little ones who could read the sign, and please skateboard somewhere else. They ignored me. I asked again and told them I'd turn them in. They ignored again so I went to the rec office and they called the police. When I told the boys, they called me a bitch and left. They couldn't have been more than twelve.

Yesterday at the same park a young by around 11-12 was rude to my five year old son and his friend. He then proceeded to climb on the play eqipment and spit on one of his friends repeatedly. I asked him not to spit since there were so many young preschool kids around. He said ok and then muttered "bitch" under his breath. So I followed him around and stared at him. I was worried about how he was treating the younger kids. He asked me why I was watching him and I told him I wanted to make sure he wasn't going to do anything foul around my kids. He told me he was with the young women sitting nearby and if I had a problem I should talk to them. I told him he was old enough that I could talk to him. The young women asked me if he was being rude. They were from the Boys and Girls club. The whole thing made me sick. The kid was flat scary.
