We had the Co vist a few weeks ago.

I was sitting on the row behind him and his wife.

When it was time for the prayer he stood there with his arm around his wife's waist.

Well done CO. Nice to see a loving husband.

When I was an attendant in a previous cong, I saw a young brother groping his wife's backside during the prayer. He was clearly unaware that our attendants were instructed to keep their eyes open for security reasons.

where does the idea of closing your eyes come from anyway? but holding hands can lead to closing eyes later on.

with instructions like that, is the GB jealous?

afraid devotions could be sidetracked to marital bliss?

The husband trying to please the wife and not the lord? the 8 and underlings?

about the picture dated 2009? they seem to look pleased with themselves,

If you are in a miserable activity like H2H or quewing(standing in line) you might as well do it in good company.

Could be a posed photo. Generally one didn't hold hands with the spouse while witnessing.

*** w09 11/15 pp. 6-7 par. 19 What Do Your Prayers Say About You? ***

When we are being represented in public prayer, we need to display reverential “fear of God.” (1 Pet. 2:17) There may be a proper time and place for some actions that would be inappropriate at a Christian meeting. (Eccl. 3:1) For instance, suppose someone sought to have all in a group link arms or hold hands during such a prayer. This might offend or distract some, including visitors who do not share our beliefs. Some marriage mates might discreetly hold hands, but if they embraced each other during public prayer, those who got a glimpse of such conduct might be stumbled. They might think or get the impression that the couple was focusing on their romantic relationship instead of reverence for Jehovah. Out of deep respect for him, let us therefore “do all things for God’s glory” and avoid conduct that could distract, shock, or stumble anyone.—1 Cor. 10:31, 32; 2 Cor. 6:3.

Yep, it's all about appearances. Jws r the most easily offended people in the world and as one you have to carefully measure everything you do, say, watch, read, wear and everywhere you go so as not to 'stumble' someone.

    STUMBLING OTHERS?

This from a religion that makes worldwide publicity out of failed dates? Out of families shunning each other? Out of parents witholding medical treatment

    for sick children?

    Really? I don't thing so.

What did J.F.Rutherford say when the 1925 date he set brought shame and humiliation on the "Jehovah"he had invoked to give authorization to his lie?

Did he say, "I apologize if I stumbled anybody?" No. It was all about HIM. "I made an ass of myself."

    Yeah, right.

This religion does not care about stumbling. They care about self-aggrandizement and CONTROL.
