There is a deaf and blind brother that depended on bus and train in NYC. 2 hours one way by himself.

Impressive, but I bet he doesn't have to cross any crocodile infested waters.

i'm sure it's changed a bit but I know some bethelites who would go 90 minutes to 2 hours each way for meetings depending on where they were assigned.

Clearly you are not aware of the crocs in NYC's sewer system.

I used to travel from Eternity to the congregation here. That commute took like forever and all the roads were the same, so I'd be thinking it's just around the corner...but you know it never was. Didn't get tired of waiting, more like tired of commuting and never arriving...

I know of many brothers (and sisters) who commute long distances to neighbouring congregations, just to avoid certian people in their own congregation.

Time or distance. At the "farm" some Bethelites volunteered to go to congregations 50 miles one way, 70 minutes (not urban areas there, snow/ice through country) to spread out the crowd there. I lived about 30 miles from the "farm" and we had 15 in the congregation...many complained about that distance.

Did this blind guy go to a "special" congregation like hearing impaired jws?
