I guess the point is that people have a choice...it doesn't seem that ex-jws reject it for religious reasons, but because it doesn't taste good to them.

The Inuit eat raw meat on seal and whale hunts. It should be a non-issue for Christians with, (to use the WT expression) a Bible trained conscience.

It's not just a European thing, it's a southern thing as well, there's something called blood or liver pudding I believe, but it's more like sausage and it has the liver and all the other parts you usually toss away, but I love it !!
I found some in a well known chain meat market here in NYC, I think on the wrapper in said liver pudding, or sausage but it's the same thing..
Asians use the pork blood as well, I see containers of straight blood in their stores and they sell it in "tofu form" in squares also

Why eat blood sauage when you can eat beef steak/ribs/roast, why eat chicken feet when you can eat chicken meat, why eat chittlings when you can eat pork chops/ribs/roast, why eat a fish head when you can just eat fish fillet.....kind of guy.

I live in Seattle, and I can find blood sausage and black headcheese anytime I want it.
I make a point of having some every once in a while just to make sure that the Akashic Record shows my complete defiance of the Noachian Covenant, also known as the Rainbow Covenant.
I have also donated blood for medical use, thereby "feeding" ghod-knows -how-many people.
I believe there is a psychological benefit in defying irrational fears such as the fear of blood that we were taught by the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, otherwise known as the Ancient Israelite wing of Christendom.
By the way, to me blood sausage and black headcheese are NOT delicious. I don't crave them, they are part of a ritual of rationalism.
