I've had fun browsing through over a million unique earrings at etsy today. I can't bear the thought of putting a religious symbol in my ears (there were some adorable Athena owls) but I was attracted to the DNA and Tree-of-life earrings.

Back when I was a struggling single parent, I dreamed of winning the lottery. The closest I got was a colleague who won $100,000. She managed to burn through it in a year. In the process she dumped her no-good husband, distanced herself from her controlling mother, and bought 365 pairs of earrings.
Within the year she was back at work, with a pair of earrings for every season.
They say money only makes you more of what you already are.
