Holy crap, dude: are those the "Adidas men's superstar hemp" with the tricolor rasta symbol?

Sorry, bud, but I'm changing my vote, and siding with the elders on this one: as an ex-elder, you certainly KNOW the tri-color stripes are associated with rastafarian beliefs (and smoking a blunt listening to da riddims of Bob Marley); the tiny green label on the side (the one that says HEMP) makes it clear that the wearer is a stoner who smokes weed! That's crossing a JW line big-time ("no part of the World"), and in a teen JW you know that it implies rebelling against authority in a passive-aggressive manner.

And fwiw, I'd be more worried about horrifying the sensibilities of local teens in your area than the local BOE, if I were you: unless you're under 25, you have no business wearing that style of footwear associated with youth culture, unless you're willing to face the taunting disapproval of the fashion police, LOL! I dunno, maybe you can pull off the look, but....

Idiocy. It reminds me of the Gertrude Stein quote that a rose is a rose is a rose. I just saw some nice bright colors. Fashion houses adopt Pantone colors each se ason

Our color choices are limited. Try getting navy home decor fabric in a sage year. How do they determine your intent? Neutrals were popular. Now they aren't. Remember when black was cool. It provides drama for pops of color.

Yeah, that be Rasta colors - which are actually the colors of the Ethiopian flag. But it could also be just colors. Those three colors on their own aren't enough for someone to state categorically that your shoe has Rastafarian religious iconograpy - unless the person has a preconceived negative view of you and is looking for an excuse to rat on you.
