Like Vidiot said, I see the current leadership as fully reactionary. GB 2.0 got their positions by being company men, not visionaries. Their first answer to any situation will be, "do more of the same!" Even their approach to coming up with "new light" has become, "do more of the same!" Their changes in teaching with "generation" and FDS aren't well thought out and explained in a way that all the JWs can understand and explain. Instead, they seem to change for change's sake. They have to say something to keep the sheeple excited, so they flip-flop on interpretations as the rank-and-file nod in agreement... because they aren't allowed to do anything else. Goofy changes in interpretation, threats of birds pecking out the eyes of non-JWs, the end is close because the GB says it is, all things things are the "more of the same" that can be expected in the future.
ARE THEY RAMPING UP THE FEAR MONGERING AGAIN?

im stuck in:
A recent point By Cedars reinforced this when he discussed a new article about the birds being summoned to eat the flesh of those that don't make it through the big A and the scary birds of prey picture not good for kids.
Interesting. A JW left me a 'charming' message a couple of weeks ago saying that "[Jehovah] will feed you to the birds on armageddon". I wonder if that delightful expression of loving concern was inspired by the same image.

Ahhh, what delicious irony, with a poster ramping up fear-mongering over his outlandish "global conspiracy theories" in a thread about how JWs ramp up fear mongering
Someone isn't taking their Depakote.

Thus like the concept of boiling a frog in water increasingly heated gradually
Myth. A frog placed in water that is gradually heated will jump out once the temperature becomes uncomfortable. Unfortunately, most JWs aren't as smart as the hypothetical frogs.

Globalism and globalization are not "conspiracy theory" or fearful, but international developmental reality and international intergrative sciences affecting administration of finance, government and military in trans-national and multi-national international contexts.

I don't know about all this economic stuff , though I suppose that not much would surprise me about them , but I became aware on Friday that they have been told to pack " go bags " with torches , two days supply of food , medicines etc in case of the need to flee your home suddenly ! If that is not ramping up the fear of Armageddon coming soon I don't know what is .

The 'sisters' here on the east coast of Australia often say that when the great tribulation comes the plan is that JWs will head en masse for the west to the desert areas... Why? Im not sure but theyre always talking about heading west where no one can harm them lol. I wish theyd hurry up and make fools of themselves out there so normal people can have their jobs and homes lol.

If the "go bag" info is true, it is to more easily affect the herding directive of WT 11/15/13 pg. 20, par. 17 directive 3, "at that time":
""(3) At that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not. ""
A "go bag" will get JWs obeying the org's "lifesaving direction" to the destination corral GB approved "safe house" that much quicker, without an hour or days delay.
The "at that time" statement is a giveaway Bethel KNOWS something is due to manifest "at that time". It will not be what JWs think is actually manifesting. It will be a JW stampede event that may continue to have more developments, over months, with the same goal to herd JWs.
That is why Matt24:15 says to LEAVE the Organization NOW:
(Matthew 24:15-16) “Therefore, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation (UN NGO), as spoken of through Daniel the prophet (1990 Dan11:31b parallel to Dan8:13-14), standing in a holy place (Bethel's claim), (let the reader use discernment,) 16 then let those in (JW worldwide) Judea begin fleeing to the mountains. (leave JWs, judgment is nigh).
Whatever a JW does, DO NOT blindly follow organizational direction "at that time", and literally FLEEING the org NOW is good advice.

anonymouz , I was told by two sisters on Friday last that they had been advised to pack a" go bag " to be ready at any time to leave their homes in case of an emergency . This came up during a discussion about the latest disaster and the wonderful response by the Watchtower to help the brothers ( and sisters I hope ) . One said that she made sure that some of her medication was always packed just in case . To be fair they had only got round to putting a torch and a few bits in but told of some who had purchased survival packs . I kid you not .

They're just tired of making withdrawals from their Cayman Island accounts to buy cheap building materials and food for JW victims after every disaster.... So if each J-Dub simply packed their own shit, that's one less thing the WT needs to worry about and that much more "Worldwide Work" money and insurance money that can be funnelled into off-shore tax havens and hedge funds...
Pretty soon they'll be suggesting kits indirectly owned by the WT Corporation... I wouldn't put it passed them...
