This board is good reading, as you said! Plus, it's like going to a coffee shop and discussing issues of the day. I did see Matrix and Total Recall. Matrix, especially it seems to me, to relate well to our collective experience in the JWs. The Truman Show also did.

I just finshed Jackdaws by Ken Follet, good book takes place during WWII.
Before that was 'Outlander' by Dine G.
and before that Sigma Protocal by Robert Ludlum

Machiavelli: The Prince (Italian war strategist - way cool Expatbrit that we read the same book recently)
StarWars: The New Jedi Order- Star by Star (Book 9 of a 19 Book Series) by Troy Denning (what can I say I am a StarWars freak )
Stupid White Men... and Other Sorry Excuses for the State of the Nation! by Michael Moore {a very liberally inclined political satire)

I LOVE to read. I would highly recommend ANY of the above.
It is not religious persecution for an informed person to expose publicly a certain religion as being false, thus allowing persons to see the difference between false religion and true religion.

What can I say? I've been busy cramming for my business. I read mostly technical stuff and non-fiction anyway. Some times I read a Sherlock Homes short story or two and I love Calvin and Hobbes.
It's been a while since I've had the time to read on the subjects of religion and philosphy, which are some of my favorite topics. I am currently on break from "Why Do People People Believe Weird Things". I'll get back and finish that book after my foray into all these technical manuals.
I love History and Politics also and am currently also reading an autobiography of Thomas Paine, although it's been sitting next to my chair untouched for awhile.

Finally got around to reading for entertainment again!!!:
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
What an awesome book. Very entertaining.
I laughed out loud every page of the way.
Then I laughed out loud again at each person that looked at me funny for laughing out loud in the first place. hehe
This book is now my all-time second favorite!
I can hardly wait to read the rest of the trilogy of five.

I'm reading American Gods by Neil Gaimon. Great stuff. If you like Douglas Adams you'll like Gaimon. Also recommend Gaimon's Small Gods, which he wrote with Terry Pratchett.
Reading Ursula LaGuin, The Telling.
Non fiction by Ken Wilber - just one of the most interesting minds of our time, and provides a lot of answers for people leaving the JWs.
