Always amazes me when people "Pray to God" and then their job searching or whatever yields results.
Now, if they got offered a job and didn't send any applications then I'd be impressed !
Of course, the opposite applies so if you attribute all the 'good stuff' to God then surely he's responsible for the crap that comes your way too?

The truth is, God is nothing like the JW's portray.
That having been said, he's quite unlike the way that many religions portray him, either.

I prayed to Jehovah to help me find the truth, and it worked! I left the BORG and realized that there could not possibly be a God!

That then lead to two consequences - your leaving the borg (good move) and your denying God (no comment).
And they say the Trinity is a hard concept to grasp!

Always amazes me when people "Pray to God" and then their job searching or whatever yields results.I do pray for God to help me in job searches. But I don't pray that He give me a job. I pray that He give me the endurance it takes to find a job. I pray that He help me open my own opportunities. (ie - work my a** off to find something.) I also pray for discernment to accept an offer that will ultimately be a good decision for my whole life.
Although a devout Christian, I don't expect God to give me answers on a silver platter. I think like a good earthly father, He will allow me (and wants me!) to use my own brain and make my own decisions. I just pray for His guidance and love to be manifested to me in that process.
