Your response can be simple, stevieb: tell them to go take a walk.

Yes, and you might add - 'In very tight shoes'.

Ask them to show you in the Bible where you cant
    have spiritual food.-

Than go-you mean there is something that we shouldnt have
from the FDS? Is that like what the catholic church did?

Control, intimidation, control, control. That's what that is all about. We'll tell you what you should and should not read, what's suitable for your comsumption and you will dare not question our authority! YOU WILL COMPLY !!!!

I have a poster behind my desk at that has a chihauhau (sp) that looks at whoever see's it from a view that has it's tail straight up in the air. There's a caption that reads "Here's My Final Answer !!" That would be the nicest answer I would be able to give them. (For those who don't get it, the poster subtly tells those who read it that if they don't like the answer I just gave them to a question they asked, they can kiss my a$$.)

The claim is made that those who post confidential "To the Body of Elders" letters on the net are being dishonest - therefore they are not Christians. Nothing I said to them on this matter convinced them otherwise.
Maybe these same elders can explain the dishonesty of the WT double standard of its "fornicating" with the UN.

On second though...naaaaaaaa.....they wouldn't want to talk about that.

Maybe someone can help me out here, as I guess I'm confused. I thought the Elders's Textbook was referred to as the "Flock book?"
I went to Kent's site and the secret book shown was the"Organized to Accomplish our Ministry." I've had that book for years, and still do.
How can that be a secret book? Thanks.

The governing body is very like the IRS. The IRS wants compliance. They don't give a rat's ass how absurd the law might be; they don't care if following the law will ruin you, that's not their problem. They want compliance, obedience, and they want it NOW.

And each organization can blow up your shit if you don't comply.

The "Flock" book is called Pay Attention to Yourselves and to All the Flock, and is the one you want. Get on http://watchtower.observer.org and go down a ways in the links on the left and click on "Secret Books". Go to the bottom of the resulting page and click on "more secret books". You'll find a link to the book there.

the "flock book" has always been a secret book only used and shared by elders. the congregation in most instances do not even know what it looks like and would fear looking in one as God would strike them dead. if in fact you have made elders aware you have a copy then they will put two and two together that you have been on apostate websites and you will be in deep poo poo. better give them whatever they want and ease out of this or else you may be df before you know it.

Tell them to stuff their request where the sun don't shine! I have a copy obtained the same way you did yours. A few years ago, when I was being set up for DFing, I answered the official notification of a Judicial Hearing with quotes from the Elders manual showing where they were violating their own standards and literature. Result? The whole matter was dropped. Later on, I said screw this and DA'd.

Of course the elders dont want you to have it. We were always told to keep it closely guarded and not left where our family could read it. When I visited the C/O one Tuesday at the start of his visit, he had a plain brown paper jacket over his copy so as not to arouse interest from anyone.

Of course I had to hand back my copy when I was removed (or did I resign, it is a moot point)although I photo copied some more interesting pages

Any way, ANYTHING from an "Apostate" net site is dynamite as far as they are concerned. Are you sure you are not disfellowshipped yet?

The chief reason they give for their request is that the information therein (such as the chapters on judicial cases) is not for my consumption and would not be of any use to me as I'm not an elder in the same way a book on surgical technique would be of little use to me if I wasn't a practicing surgeon.

Of course, if you were about to have surgery and wanted to know more about the procedure that would be followed, no responsible surgeon would deny you the opportunity to read any surgical textbook that might contain the necessary information, if you wanted to.

However, the Watchtower not only wants the right to put you on trial for any reason they see fit, they don't even want you to have access to the rules under which the procedure will be conducted. After all, then they might have to follow their own rules!
