I told them I did not celebrate those holidays because I was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
While you were a JW, what did you say when people ask you how was your Thanksgiving and Christmas?

I would say "Thank you, I enjoyed the time off." If asked specifically if I did anything special for Christmas, I would then say how I did not celebrate the holiday. Typically, that would end it. Otherwise, I would be glad to go into the full-blown explanation after that (and count 15 minutes and a return visit for it).

Most people I worked with knew I was a JW and were aware I didnt celebrate xmas , however their was always some who you would have to reply to ,with "thank you , enjoy your family get together "
The bonus was, nobody wanted to work on those days and I always did, with penalty rates $$$$$$$

LoisLane looking for Superman
When I was a child, walking or doing serviceā¢ with my mother, people would ask me what Santa Claus had brought me.
I would reply, 'I don't deserve Christmas'.
They would always go, ' awww '.
I thought I was saying 'I don't observe Christmas'. lol
I got my words mixed up.
