How many dubs would eventually lose their siege mentality if the WTBTS would stop their propaganda?? Any guesses as to why the WTBTS needs to foster that atmosphere? Hayden Covington said it best in his own words when under oath. He was speaking of the "unity" that must be maintained.

    Q. If a member of Jehovah's Witnesses took the view himself that that prophesy was wrong and said so he would be disfellowshipped?

    A. Yes, if he said so and kept persisting in creating trouble, because if the whole organisation believes one thing, even though it be erronious and somebody else starts on his own trying to put his ideas across then there is disunity and trouble, there cannot be harmony, there cannot be marching. When a change comes it should come from the proper source, the head of the organisation, the governing body, not from the bottom upwards, because everybody would have ideas, and the organisation would disintegrate and go in a thousand different directions. Our purpose is to have unity.

This gives a clue as to what kind of people "flourish" in the Organization. Those who march in step without any ideas of thier own. If you believe that you are under siege, then you are more likely to blindly follow orders from your "superiors."

Fluorish? Interesting word. Does anyone really fluorish as a JW? If I consider 'fluorish' to mean be successful with the borganization (as it deems success, i.e., elder, CO, DO, etc.) and essentially happy with it, I would have to say that ego-driven, power hungry sociopathic men who like lording things over others and who have little to no actual sense of accomplishment in their pathetic lives.

Many (the sheeple) stay in because they like others to make decisions and think for them and they are drawn to the promise of a paradise where they didn't have to actually do anything to earn it (build it, plan it, manage it) other than half assed behave for a while and follow a ridiculous set of manmade rules. But I wouldn't say they 'fluorish.'

    People who require group validation

Middle to low IQ types (typically male) who crave an audience but have no legitimate means to capturing such

Neurotic women - especially those who are completely self-absorbed in their self-perceived illnesses

Abuse victims who have not overcome their traumas and actually crave a type of domination. Broken minds seem to gravitate toward cultish systems, as it creates a "comfort" zone - it is what they have become accustomed to.

And lastly, in order to flourish in the religion, a person has to be capable of a certain level of hypocrisy.

Folks with just a smidgen of mental illness going on and of course there are quite a few certified mental patients as well. The reason being is they need some type of structure in their life. I remember one certified nut in my KH who use to wander off from the meetings, when she sometimes decided to get help I remember her sis in law said she was told to keep a list and write down what she planned to do during the day or what she wanted to accomplish that day, when you join the Borg, the oldl guys in Brooklyn do all the thinking for you .

People who want to be told what and how to think - so they don't have to think for themselves. Some people want that route thinking it's easier- but really it makes a persons life more complicated letting someone else run your life. Would be much easier for them if they just had freedom of mind, but they deceive themselves thinking it would be harder - but it's not in my opinion

Also I might add that superstitious people flourish under the JW regime. The type who NEED answers for everything. The type who can't accept that in life- sometimes there ARE no answers for everything. These kind of people drive themselves crazy looking for the shangrala or " answer " when in reality - none exists. The answer is within you yourself. peace out, Mr. Flipper
