The song should either be sung as written or else create something original. If this is an appeal to peopl'es emotions, it seems like an exploitative one. Make your own material or get it right at least.

Yeah, and Cee-Lo is the same 'great artist' who brought us the song ***k You ... *yawn* ...
I totally agree, OTWO. It's just wrong, and LOL, a hood rat like Cee Lo, changing the words to a John Lennon tune? ESPECIALLLY this! John was so anti-religion.
It makes me wanna puke.

It's a travesty, why would anyone change the words, it's such a powerful song because of the words. I remember watching a movie about the massacre in Cambodia, a journalist got out before the killings but was unable to bring a Cambodian who had helped him. The Cambodian suffered greatly, they were trying to wipe out all educated people. Afterwords, the journalist went back and found him and asked him to forgive him. He said "their is nothing to forgive". Then they played Imagine, that was the end of the movie. It was very moving.
Some things should not be changed.

I am glad that "I'm not the only one," and so many have "joined us" in feeling this way.
Thanks all for verifying that my indignation was proper.

I actually like that song, but I like when William Shatner is singing it better than Cee-Lo. (Not that William is a good singer, but it's just kind of funny.)
But your bringing it up is a great example. Cee-Lo's contributions to the world are just laughable and he butchers the point of a master's contribution. -
