I liked My Favorite Year too.
You lose track of people, I didn't realize he was alive.
I loved Lawrence of Arabia. The film is so old. Peter O'Toole was a great actor. I admired how he kept up his craft in recent years, doing small roles on TV and film. His drunken exploits at the Carlyle were the stuff of old Hollywood legend.
His Lawrence of Arabia and Good Bye Mr. Chips were two of my favorite old movies.
He was a great actor.
I read somewhere that it was said of Peter O'Toole playing Lawrence,
that if he were any 'prettier' they would have to call the movie, Florence of Arabia.
For whom the bells toll, they toll for Peter O'Toole, today. Sad.

Best movie line ever:
"The trick is not minding that it hurts."

What a fantastic actor and brilliant personality. Thankfully we have so much of him on film to enjoy. "My Favorite Year" is one of those movies I watch over and over again. The other favorite of mine is "The Lion in Winter." Hearing him speak is like poetry.
RIP Peter, well done.
Loved him!
I loved The Lion in Winter -- Peter O'Toole and Katherine Hepburn, wonderful combo.
