    AK,

Why are you still going to the meetings and wanting their literature if you DA'd yourself?

Either you want to be a JW or you don't.

You could always go to Bethel and get the literature I know a lot of people do that. If they ask you where your from, and why you don't get it from your congregation you tell them your traveling from Europe and you would like to read them as you'll be away for several months, they won't check it out.

It's actually pretty easy to get most of these rags, if you really want them. There is normally a copy or two in my local laundromat, and there's always people handing them out at the local shopping mall. Just approach someone who doesn't know you. This way they're free.

I don't. Going to meetings keeps me off the streets.

Who said I contribute for the mags? The only stuff I contribute for is the rare stuff you have to order.

    Peace,

I like doing the crossword puzzle.........

All facetiousness aside, the denial of literature, "Kingdom Ministry", handling of Memorial emblems and countless other JW perks is all typical psychological controlling leverage used by the loving shepherds. The fact that someone can circumvent the "arrangement" and photocopy a KM or get the latest two "Bible journals" on the street, doesn't heal the wound of knowing that you are "unauthorized" and guilty of possessing spiritual contraband.

What a freedom it finally is to no longer have a psychological need for the latest 32 page, 4 page or 8 page trimmed, folded, and/or stapled piece of cellulose from the "faithful slave".

Just walking into a kh and sitting there for two hours, supports the GooBers.
