So she didn't confront one of these number of children who went out and shot up a school.

Therefore one can conclude that there is no connection to video game violence influencing anti-social behavior

within set group of children. What a weak inconclusive study when portrayed against a general population of lets

say the US with 20 million children in the same designated age group.

I could have done that myself with the same results.

How about evaluating the few that did go out and commit horrendous acts of violence and psychological

evaluate those ones , wouldn't that created something of bit more plausible and useful.

This might also be coming out toward the fact that 20 something adolescents or teenagers know little about developmental human psychology

and human social behavior which derives itself from that individualized development.

I havent read all that Fink has posted in here but I personally am not comfortable with 8 year old boys playing 18 rated games, or even some 16 rated games either. But parents will almost always relent and the kids end up playing them in the end.

I've seen my nephews nephew aged 6 or 7 playing Halo Reach a few years back and the aggression and transformation of that little boy was disturbing to watch. Also it was disturbing that he was good at it. Turns out he is epilepctic now and I very much doubt him being exposed to that level of intensity at that early an age helped him one little bit.

I LOVE computer games, mainly FPS, and have played them since childhood when they 1st came out, but the only computer games available when I was about 10 was Asteroids and Space Invaders machines... I do sometimes wonder how the childrens brains cope with all the very realistic graphics they see now in games, I cant imagine being 6 again and playing Halo Reach and not being mentally overwhelmed with the experience.

I think only a very few who are already dangerous due to mental imbalance would be better served not playing any violent games, I dont see the young in society as any more violent now than it was 30 years ago. (But then I do live in the UK, in the quiet countryside so WTF do I know LOL)

I've been recently shocked by some video games that are attainable for young teens to play, the violence has gotten more crude as well

the language and sexuality has been pumped up as well.

This age restriction policy is really a joke there many under the age of 18 playing these games and the developers know this as well.

Do they care ? of course not, they are concerned about how well their game is perceived by the 18 and up and the money that

the game will bring in. $$$

Its like the developer apathetically thinks this is what is going to attract people to their game making also for a great review.

The true reality is that there are young teens and children playing these games, if you don't think so your really just fooling yourself.

If violence and sexuality can be pumped up in movies and television, why not pump it in video games in a effort to attract even more

attention to it ?

Some people might complain about this, but hey that will only create more attention to the game which will probably result in even more sales.

Definitely not wrong to play GTA V, that was one of the best games I've ever played although I still think The Last of Us on PS3 should have won game of the year.
