Winter in China - Snow in Kunming

    Kunming (capital of Yunnan province in South China, near the border with Myanmar) has a reputation of being a city with a climate of perpetual spring. Neither winter or summer is extreme (on average) so its news when it snows:

    And in the north in the city of Harbin, the winter Ice fewtival is underway. (Harbin is on the border with Russia - and the Russian Rouble is now legal tender in Harbin)

    And in the beautiful Huangshan (Yellow Mountains) in Anhui Province, but only a few hours drive from Hangzhou and Shanghai, winter dresses the trees with a different beauty.
