In the raw emotion of one of my earlier posts on this moving thread, I incorrectly attributed the song-writing craft to Phil when brother Don was the composer. Jointly, these two American greats had a huge impact on the shape and direction of pop music from the 60s through the present. Those harmonies were like none before, inspiring the Beatles, the Hollies, the Beach Boys, Smokie Robinson and Simon and Garfunkel among countless others.
