confusedandalone, thank you for sharing pics and stories of your trip.

What surprised me the most was that JW's are referred to as "Jehovah's Wickedness". The Bros must be bringing a lot of reproach on Jehovah.

    CAA,

Such a lovely experience, you really have a great family and are a good example of someone moving on well done, keep up the good work in helping newbies like me adapt outside the BOrg. I am resisting the mindset of the WT.

Manchester is really nice...it seems that retirees tend to gravitate towards that side of the island.

While there, I ran into some Mormons (Latter Day Saints)...but it doesn't seem the locals are interested, I guess most folks there are either non-religous or simply go with what their family/parents are in.

For anyone interested in visiting there, especially Negril, Couples and Sandals/Beaches is worth reading about and visiting.

I always enjoy your posts. Glad you and your family had a wonderful Christmas/vacation. We too traveled for two weeks to spend it with our family and it was just a fantastic time.

I have been to Jamaca on a couple of cruises but I can not understanding spending a lot of money going to a beautiful resort and running around preaching. I was never one to use our vacation to go out in service and visit other KH's. I wanted to get away from everything and rest or go site seeing.

It was nice you were able to help those in need because every little bit helps and if we all would do that it would help many.

The longer I am out the more I realized how disfunctional JW's are. Was your wife not a JW when she lived in Jamaca? You didn't mention her family shunning you while you were there.

I hope you get some peace from your family. It sounds like your Dad will never give up which shows how much he loves you but it is so stressful because you know the religion is a lie.

" Was your wife not a JW when she lived in Jamaca? You didn't mention her family shunning you while you were there." She was not while she was there. They had an Aunt who was and died because she refused blood so most of that side of her family hate witnesses and think they are whackadoodles.

The brother I saw at the resort was the reason I was asking the question about anyone else familiar with him.

He brought his son and his daughter in law on the trip. Last I checked she was disfellowshipped and I was wondering if she was reinstated or if he ignored the rules LOL
