Yeah, delusional doesn't begin to describe them. What a leap in logic! Somehow, deep down inside, there must be a lot of insecurity and self-doubt. I think that's why I became a Witless; until I found my cojones and faced life head-on. There must be a component of personal uncertainty tied to the reason cults can captivate people. It's not just "not knowing" that draws people. It's also some sort of insecurity or missing reasurance that draws the unsuspecting.

One CO I remember said if you wanted to approach him with a problem - dot be shy, then quoted the scripture "we are not gods merely men like yourselves".

Doesn't surprise me that your CO would say this about himself. There are a whole lot of COs and DOs that feel that way. In fact I know a lot of Elders that feel that way too!
Many of them consider themselves to be God's gift to the rank and file.

I'd like to see the part in the bible where the apostles said that about themselves, I guess we can always have the create loves and fish on the spot competition or find a lake for them to see how far across they walk , my favorite would be water to wine tho ....

It is disgusting how the CO and DO prefer to be wined and dined..stay at the fanciest house..taken out to play golf with the wealthy clique. I have seen poor little old sisters get turned down when they would feel so honored to share a meal in their humble little home!!!!!
