I wonder what the current odds are on being killed by an Armageddon.

Probably about the same as seeing the Loch Ness Monster and Elvis in my local McDonalds.

    Ignored One.

"Yes, But Now in our life time People are already saying peace & safety, that afgan leader said it, and so did his followers, so Even tho the last sign is on a low scale, I'm still praying that it will, and I'm going to ignore those who try to overthrow my faith... "

Just before WWII the primeminister of Great Britian declared "peace in our time"
Just after the Gulf War G.Bush said we were entering a new world order .
Through out history people have declared peace and security.
There is nothing about saying this that could stand out as different to any age that has gone before.
So how can that statment serve as a sign?
Why hasn't armageddon come when it has been declared before?

U.2K. Do anybody else Believe that the Messiah Will Return In our life time?

My family goes 5 generations deep with the organisation.

My GRANDMOTHER believed it would come in HER lifetime

My mother believed it would come in HER lifetime

I believed it would come in MINE

My daughter believes in HER lifetime

My grandchildren will believe it will be in THEIR lifetime.

ALL of us believed/believe we would NOT have children, after we HAD children we believed they would NEVER go to school... as the end would come.

Many GENERATIONS of people have come and gone who were promised of a new system in their lifetime...........how sad

    U2k; you didn't bother replying last time, so I'll try again... here's the same answer and question;

U2K; sorry mate. Being 20, you wouldn't remember Ronald Reagan saying how the 'Star Wars' project would usher in an era of true peace and security (I think it was he but it may nave been George Bush #1). This essentially means you are ten years out, so the end will come in 2005-2007.
    Except it won't.

    Haven't you wised up yet?

EVERY PROPHECY REGARDING THE END OF THE WORLD HAS FAILED TO COME ABOUT AND THE PEOPLE PREDICTING THESE ENDS USED THE SAME BOOKS AND THE SAME SCRIPTURES YOU USE AND WERE AS CONVINCED OF THEIR ACCURACY AS YOU ARE OF YOURS.

Statistically speaking, this means there is a (delta)0 chance of the world ending in the next ten or twenty years. You have just been infected by a nasty mind virus called religion.

U.2.K. Says -" I'm going to ignore those who try to overthrow my faith..."

Which when transalated means - I only hear what I want to. Truth need not apply!

Some timeless facts not dependent on Armageddon.....

There were earthquakes and other cataclysmic events long before humans were known to walk the earth, and will be after they are extinct.

There have always been food shortages and will be as long as Jehovah keeps blessing the planet with an overabundance of human beings.

There will never be "Peace and Security" as long as humans beings cling to the absurd notion that some other force (exclusively their version of course) is going to come from heaven, fix the earth, smite the wicked (not their version) , and rewrite all the laws of nature.

Who needs Armageddon when we have all of that?

    Sincerely,

    District Overbeer

I believe it will Come in my life time, I'm only 20 years old and I damn sure aint going to die

Well, when you are on your deathbed, remember you said this. My mother said the same thing to herself, and the same thing to me. She's approaching old age now, as am I. My grandmother thought the same thing, and now she is quite advanced in age. It sucks when you realize your fantasy world is a lie, but hopefully it will happen to you BEFORE you waste the majority of your life.

Better start that 401K just in case ...

I know for a fact that the end came in 1844.
We are now living in the new world.
