Interesting comparrision. My daughter is doing a maths and physics degree, but she is working and doing it OU instead of staying at a university campus. Sha wants to get plenty of experience in the workplace as well as a qualification.

Who knows? My daughter may change her mind through her course and apply to go to a uni and halls of residence, but she is happy where she lives now and is stable in her job. She quite rightly says, that a degree without proper experience is worth less to employers that a degree with 7 years relevent experience, it shows commitment to work and study.
Plus she likes her salary too much. Handbags and shoes ya know! lol
