According to the Watchtower Society, spiritual Israel (the annointed remnant) was delivered from Babylonish captivity in 1919, and under the guidance of Jehovah's spirit was cleansed. See Watchtower Sept. 15, 1988, page 15. But, ask yourself exactly what was it that was cleansed? Absolutely nothing! They still used the Cross, they still celebrated holidays, including Christmas. They still distributed the Finished Mystery. They still believed Russell was the "faithful and discreet slave," and no one could come to Bible truth without using his writings. They still believed that the Great Pyramid was Jehovah's stone witness. The booklet Millions Now Living Will Never Die in 1920 proclaimed that 1925 would mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and other faithful prophets of old. This belief was not corrected until 1950. And it took them 100 years to identify the generation of Matt. 24:34 "correctly."

well there are several scriptures that says he was given the right to rule, he was given the power to judge, all knees should bend to him
and he told his diciples that some of them standing there would see him coming in his kingdom.
so id say when he died and went to heaven and sat at the right hand of God, he started his rule.
at least thats what i get out of it.

@Kenneson: Very astute observation. 1919 is the reason 1914 is so important to the Watchtower, but as you’ve pointed out 1919 was really not turning point.
@sowhatnow: Very true. But really without having to go into 607 BC or anything else, it is as simple as Matthew 28:18. That one verse overturns the entire theology.

But Londo, the parable of the FDS clearly shows that Jesus would turn over his earthly authority to a chosen group of men, until his er, er, return.
And it is clearly evident that since 1919 the FDS has been a small group of men that looked after the spitiual feeding work, this group included Rutherford and er, er, well Rutherford was evidently a group in those days.
Particularly in modern times Jesus' appointment of the GB/FDS has been evident by the expansion of preaching activity, look at alll the Trolleys/Carts ! and by the need to build more Kingdom Halls as people flock to the Mountain of Jehovah.
All this is self evident, quite evidently, by the wealth of evidence. Which is , er, er, er, ................. oh dear.
