I love the JWs snide dismissal of the social work of groups such as Salvation Army, accusing them of skimming off the takings. What deplorable, self-serving nonsense. Bycontrast, the socail work carried out by Witnesses is...virtually nonexistent and it's left to groups and organizations such as the Salvation Army to tend to the poor and homeless.

steve2 - True. when I was a believer and after I left the JW cult I volunteered at a soup kitchen run by the Baptists for any homeless person. I actually felt like I was doing something useful for a change. A JW that shall remain nameless said to me that: 'It isn't food they need, they need the watchtower.' My jaw hit the ground.

Probably the greatest reason the WTS./JWS hasn't grown like most other religions in its 100+years is that

the general public senses that its a lying scam fronted and pursued by a publishing house.

    .

When you consider that the WTS. has been peddling its self door to door for over a century it only has 8 million world wide members

which is not impressive and it is an indication that it is fraud of sorts.

This video of F Franz giving a speech tells a bit of the story of how the WTS. lured and con people to become a member.

    .

Ironically this is the guy who pushed 1975 for he was the leading bible theologian for the WTS. during the late 60's and 70's.

    .

This 6000 year scam was used once before by the WTS. by the then President C T Russell and Franz knew of that because he was there himself,

so this ANOINTED CROOK pulled it out again but in a much bigger way and used it to create the entire big 1975 scare.

As a result the WTS. publications flew off the shelves and the WTS. had its biggest growth in followers during the early 1970's

punkofnice: 'It isn't food they need, they need the watchtower.'

Exactly! That is exactly what they need!

I asked my sister what she thought of the article about the sheeps and goats in the July Watchtower, 2013. Her response (after 5 second blank stare... oh, I made her think... or not...), "It made sense."

I asked why they ignore the passage where Jesus describes the behavior of the sheep and goats... "you know, feeding the poor, helping the homeles..."

Her response: "Oh, that's just an example. There is nothing wrong with a food drive, per se. BUT...What we do is much more important. We are offering them eternal life."

I just said, "You can't eat a magazine. How are they supposed to hear your message, if their stomach is rumbling or they are getting hypothermia because they have no coat to wear?"

Every now and then it is salutary to listen to the "old" fogies tell it like it was, no window-dressing, no covering over, just reporting example after example after example of how the Watchtower fumbled and bull-dozed its way "forward" with unabashedly silly, if not plainly narcissistically delusional notions, of what lies ahead.

To think of the draconian methods they utilized to "secure" each new silly, delusional belief leaves no doubt: The Watchtower is "just" one more of countless man-made religious organization, its followers little more than suckers for silly, deluded stories - stories that have kept right on changing.

According to him there would be "no need for the act of reproduction"......finally allowing Brother Burton an excuse for his masturbatory obsessions.

Or else this is just Satans media and obviously that isn't what happened because we GREW alot since then.

With this video of F. Franz speaking tells a revealing tale of how he too was a diligently

corrupt asshole running the WTS. as being one of the top editorial writers and directers

    for the Watchtower Publishing house.

    .

He obviously knew of the 6000 year scam used by C T Russell decades earlier,

and thats where he got the idea to use it again.

    .

You just cant trust religious charlatans to tell the truth, they are more concerned upon their business $$$

aspirations and to what cultivates and sustains their power and control over people.

    .

As with the case with the WTS., bullshit from the past can be recycled and used once again.

As alway exploiting the general publics ignorance to accomplish their own selfish agenda.
